7.5.1 Fan Unit LED Indicators
The sFU-8E unit, as shown, has LED indicators that provide an on-site indication on the operating
conditions of the air cooling system modules, including an alarm indicator that lights up in case of
a high temperature condition. The following table describes the LED indicators for the Fan Unit.

7.5.2 Management Board (sMBE) LED Indicators
The following types of LED indicators are located on a Vantage 8500 management board (up to
two boards per chassis):

Mellanox Technologies
On – Indicates that the AC power source is present and OK.
On – Indicates that the DC power source is present and OK.

Indicates over-temperature in the chassis as follows:
ON – indicates on over-temperature fault
OFF – indicates normal temperature levels
Vertical fan unit fault indication.
ON – indicates that at least one of the four fans has failed.
Horizontal fan unit fault indication.
ON – indicates that at least one of the eight fans has failed.
AC power supply fault indication.
ON – indicates that at least one of the main AC power supplies is faulty.
