5. Align the rail mounting holes with the mounting holes in the equipment rack Figure 24. Use
the rack-mounting carton template for accurate positioning.
6. Install the rail kit according to one of the following two options:
•
Aligned with the U mark: position the rail brackets in perfect alignment with the "U" mark
on the Rack (requires 1U clearance below).
•
Above the U mark: position the Rail Brackets and align them with the hole above the "U"
mark on the Rack (no need for 1U clearance below).
