SETTING THE OVERALL AIR QUANTITY

To the right of the "overall air quantity" button 20 is the "total air" bar graph display 34.
When the control unit is in the ready position, this display shows the set point as a dot and
when powder feeding is switched on it shows the actual value as a bar.
To the right of the bar graph display is the scale for the overall air quantity. To the left of
the bar graph display is another scale showing the hose diameter. This scale shows the
correlation between the overall air quantity and the inner hose diameter (see operating
manuals for the PI-F1 powder injectors and HiCoat ED-Pump-F). The inner hose diameter
is printed on the powder hose.
Example:
Inner hose diameter 11 mm
Overall air 4.5 m³/h
As mentioned above, the overall air quantity can be adjusted between 2-6 m³/h. If the
value is set to 2 m³/h and is then reduced further, the word „off" appears in the LED display
19 to indicate that the total air supply is switched off. As a result, the total air supply is not
switched on when powder feeding is switched on.

Procedure:
1. Press the "overall air quantity" button 20 to adjust the
overall air quantity. The yellow LED 22 indicates that
the overall air quantity is selected.
2. The overall air quantity can now be adjusted
using the Universal rotary controller 24 between
2 m³/h - 6 m³/h with a resolution of 0.05 m³/h. The
value is shown in the LED display 19.
