Various observation methods

This section describes the operating procedures of the observations other than the reflected brightfield observation. The
operating procedures of the reflected brightfield observation are described in "3 Basic operations of the microscope
(brightfield observation)".

4-1 Reflected light darkfield observation procedures

Turn ON the main switch.

Select the darkfield (DF) observation.

Select the light path. (Trinocular tube only)

Place a sample on the stand.

Engage the 10X objective in the light path.

Bring the sample into focus.

Open the aperture diaphragm, and
adjust the field diaphragm.

Engage the objective with the magnification to be used
in the light path and bring the sample into focus.

Remove the analyzer, polarizer or
filters from the light path.

Adjust the brightness.

Adjust the interpupillary distance.

Adjust the diopter.

Adjust the brightness.
Start observation.
