TIP-OFF function

Function description
The TIP-OFF function can be used to temporarily reduce the magnetic power of the lifting magnet gradually while
the load is held. The power is reduced in accordance with a time-defined curve until the magnetic power is re-
duced to zero. After deactivation, the power is automatically increased to the full 100 % magnetic power, ensuring
safe handling. During the active TIP-OFF function, operating personnel are alerted to the status with an acoustic
and visual warning signal.
Application example
Setting down/releasing one or several thin steel sheets from the handled package.
Safety measures when using the TIP-OFF function
DANGER!
The load to be handled must not be more than 20 cm away from the deposit surface.
The deposit surface must be solid and horizontal so that the deposited load cannot slide or tip over.
Check that there are no obstacles between the load and the deposit surface (e.g. parts of the body or objects).
Note that ferromagnetic materials can be spontaneously attracted by the magnetic field.
Activating the TIP-OFF function
Activate the TIP-OFF function by simultaneously pressing and holding the LIFT and RELEASE buttons on the
remote control.
Version 1.0
NOTE!
The load lifting magnet is activated with a reduced magnetic power set.
An acoustic warning signal sounds at the same time. This alerts operating
personnel and anyone in the area to the executed function and that special
caution must be exercised. The yellow flashing indicator light on the display
panel of the lifting magnet indicates the selected function and the red
DANGER indicator light flashes.
Set down the load before repeating this operating mode, switch off the
magnetising and then re-activate the VARIABLE FORCE function.
Hazard from falling load!
Risk of death from suspended loads!
The TIP-OFF function can be activated only when magnetising is active. Se-
lecting this function entails an increased risk of accidents! Falling parts (e.g.
from incorrect operation) can cause serious injuries and even death.
Proceed with maximum caution!
NOTE!
The lifting magnet starts to gradually lower the magnetic power. An acoustic
warning signal sounds at the same time. This alerts operating personnel
and anyone in the area to the executed TIP-OFF function and that special
caution must be exercised. The reduction to the minimum magnetic power
takes approx. 12 s. Afterwards, the lifting magnet executes a demagnetising
pulse.
