2 SAFETY
Do not use the lifting magnet contrary to the specifications provided. The specifications in these operating in-
structions do not replace the applicable legal regulations on health & safety and accident prevention, but rather
supplement these.
Applications
Loading and unloading of machine tools
Handling of bars and profiles in warehouses
Handling of panels, tubes, bars and profiles in steel construction
Operating conditions
Never use lifting magnets without having read and understood the operating instructions.
Always arrange the load horizontally (horizontal load position).
Use the lifting magnet as an individual unit.
Never lift multiple load items together.
The workpiece always has to fully cover the pole surfaces of the magnet.
If possible, avoids air gaps between the load and pole surface, caused by, for example, unevenness, rough
surfaces, dirt and burrs.
Avoid thin loads if possible.
Lift and move loads made of material with the highest possible ferromagnetic alloy content (e.g. Fe and Co). The
adhesion forces are significantly reduced on stainless steel, cast iron or materials with a high nickel content.
