Danger – falling load or lifting magnet!
Risk of death from suspended loads!
Falling parts (e.g. from incorrect operation) can cause serious injuries and
even death.
The pole surface and the load must be clean to allow for maximum mag-
■
netic adhesion. Air gaps reduce the magnetic adhesion! Clean the pole
surface and the workpiece before positioning!
If the load has a high non-magnetic material content, the adhesion of the
■
load on the lifting magnet is reduced, e.g. in case of high levels of nickel
or cast iron. The holding force may have to be calculated.
Do not heat the lifting magnets above 50 °C. Above this temperature,
■
magnetising of the lifting magnet is eliminated.
Always use safety hooks so the lifting eye cannot slip from the hook.
■
Never exceed the stated rated holding forces and workpiece dimensions.
■
Do not use damaged or poorly functioning devices.
■
Never walk or stand under a suspended load.
■
Never transport above or close to any persons.
■
Warn people in the surrounding area before starting the lifting process.
■
Never leave a load unattended.
■
Risk of crushing!
There is a risk of crushing when the active magnet makes contact with a
ferromagnetic load.
Always position the lifting magnet on the load while it is not magnetised.

Wear personal protective equipment.
■
Risk of crushing!
If the magnet is used vertically, this creates a risk of crushing from falling
load.
Always arrange the load horizontally.
