Removal

The following subsections describe the procedures for:

Powering down the system

Disconnecting a PSU/PEM from power feed
Removing the system
3.4.1
Powering Down the System
For data integrity reasons Emerson recommends to save data and close all applications before
powering down the system.
AC System Power-Down Procedure
To power down the AC system, proceed as follows:
1. Power down all inserted and active blades using system management software.
2. Remove power from the system utilizing the external disconnect.
3. Verify that the LEDs of the PSUs are off.
The system may be supplied with multiple power sources. Ensure to remove power from all
sources to completely remove power from the system.
DC System Power-Down Procedure
To power down the DC system, proceed as follows:
1. Power down all inserted and active blades using a system management software.
2. Toggle both PEM breakers to the OFF position.
3. Verify that the BP LEDs of the PEMs are off.
