Backplane

The backplane is fully compliant with the PICMG 3.0 R3.0 Specification and it has been designed
with the following features:
Two node slots
Fabric interface connecting the node slots to each other and to the user card slots
Base interface with dual star interconnect
Base interface to the shelf manager slots
Update interface between the node slots
Bused IPMB-0 connections
Synchronization clock buses

Shelf Manager and Hub Board

The MF106 shelf manager and hub board is designed specifically for Centellis 2000 system. The
shelf manager is the central management unit of the shelf. Its purpose is to monitor, control
and assure proper operation of the shelf and all other components of the AdvancedTCA system
and to communicate with the system manager.
It reports anomalies and errors and takes corrective actions if required (for example, increase
the speed of the fans). Alarm states are displayed via the LEDs of the shelf's alarm panel.
The MF106 has access to detailed inventory information as well as sensor status information of
the shelf and components of the shelf.
The MF106 is fully compliant to the shelf management functions as specified in the PICMG 3.0
R2.0 Specification.

The MF106 contains a serial port console for access to the processor during boot. The port is
located on the front panel.
