Air Cleaner Element Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Remove the air cleaner box mounting screws (1).

2) Loosen the air cleaner box clamp screw, and
disconnect the drain tube (2).
3) Remove the air cleaner case (3).
4) Remove the air cleaner element (4).

Installation
Install the air cleaner element in the reverse order of
removal. Pay attention following point:
• Align the oval direction of the air cleaner case and
joint tube.

Air Cleaner Element Inspection and Cleaning

Refer to "Air Cleaner Element Inspection and Cleaning in
Section 0B (Page 0B-3)".

Air Cleaner Chamber Removal and Installation

Removal
1) Remove the fuel tank. Refer to "Fuel Tank Removal
and Installation in Section 1G (Page 1G-8)".
2) Remove the air cleaner box. Refer to "Air Cleaner
Element Removal and Installation (Page 1D-6)".
3) Disconnect the joint tube (1), left and right.
4) Remove the following parts from the air cleaner
chamber.
a) IAP sensor (2)
b) IAT sensor coupler (3)
c) ISC valve lead wire coupler (4)
d) ISC hose (5)
