Mounting and connecting
4.5 Electrical connections
The plug connections can be mechanically coded. To do this, proceed as follows:
1. Block a cut-out on a terminal of the terminal strip using a plastic insert (
2. On the connection plug, remove an element at the corresponding position (
below)

Signal cable

Only connect the signal cables to devices which have reliable electric isolation from their
power supply. When routing the signal cables, observe the following:
● The cables must be shielded, the high-frequency impedance of the shielding must be
small.
● Only connect the shielding at one end of the cable to GND/enclosure. The connection
should be as short as possible and with a large area.
● Observe the shielding concept of the host system (if present).
Note
Suppressing sparking
Inductive loads (e.g. solenoid valves, relays) may only be connected to the switching
outputs via spark-quenching diodes or RC elements. When using an RC element, note
that this results in a drop-out delay of the inductive component. In addition, you must use
a non-polarized capacitor.
