TRAILER / TOW VEHICLE
Review the transport safety section (2.7) before
proceeding.
When coupling or uncoupling the trailer to a tow
vehicle, the trailer should always be located on a
level, dry area that is free of debris and other foreign
objects.
4�6�1 CLEVIS HITCH
Follow this procedure:
1. Make sure that all bystanders, especially small
children, are clear of the working area.
2. Make sure there is enough room and clearance
to safely back up to the machine.
3. Use the trailer jack to raise the clevis to the
height of the tow vehicle draw bar
4. Slowly back the tow vehicle until the draw bar
and clevis are aligned.
5. Attach the clevis:
•
Place hitch pin through the clevis and draw
bar.
•
Install the snapper pin to secure the hitch pin
6. Stow the jack:
•
Swivel Jack(LT30): Crank the jack up, pull
the jack pin, swivel to its stowed position
•
Stationary Jack (LT60): Pull the jack pin,
move the drop leg up, repin and crank to
fully retract the leg.
7. Attach the safety chain securely to the tow
vehicle to prevent unexpected separation.
Cross the chains when attaching to the tow
vehicle
8. Reverse the above procedure when uncoupling.
4�6�2 PINTLE HITCH
Follow this procedure (LT60 accessory):
1. Make sure that all bystanders, especially small
children, are clear of the working area.
2. Make sure there is enough room and clearance
to safely back up to the machine.
3. Use the trailer jack to raise the pintle to the
height of the pintle hook
4. Slowly back the tow vehicle until the pintle hook
and pintle ring are aligned.
6. Close the latch on the pintle hook and install
latch pin
7. Pull the jack pin, crank the jack up,
8. Reverse the above procedure when uncoupling.
