TRANSPORTING

Comply with state and local laws governing
safety and transporting of machinery on
public roads.
•
Check that all the lights, reflectors and other
lighting requirements are installed and in
good working condition.
•
Do not exceed a maximum safe travel speed
indicated below. Slow down for rough terrain
and cornering.
•
Retract and lower boom and clamp grapple to
frame or log before moving or transporting.
When transporting the machine, review and follow these instructions:

OFF ROAD TRAILER
1. Be sure the trailer is hitched positively to the
vehicle and a retainer is used through the
drawbar .
2. Do not exceed 50 km/h (30 mph) safe travel
speed. Slow down for rough terrain and
cornering.
3. Do not exceed maximum load capacity:
• LT 30
5000 lb (2267 kg)
• LT 60
10,000 lb (4536 kg)
4. When transporting by highway, check that a
Slow Moving Vehicle sign is attached, and
reflectors are installed and in good working
TRANSPORT SAFETY
Grapple safe position

Be sure the trailer is hitched positively to
the tractor and a retainer is used through
the drawbar. Always attach a safety chain
between the hitch and the tractor.

Do not drink and drive.

Be a safe and courteous driver. Always yield
to oncoming traffic in all situations, including
narrow bridges, intersections, etc. Watch
for traffic when operating near or crossing
roadways.

Never allow riders on the machine.

HIGHWAY TRAILER
1. Check that trailer brakes are functioning properly.
2. Ensure your tow vehicle has the correct sized
towing ball (LT30 - 2", LT60 2 5/16") and a retainer
is used through the ball hitch latch.
3. Check that all reflectors and signal lights are
installed and in good working condition.
4. Do not exceed 80 km/h (50 mph) maximum
highway travel speed
