8�1�2 GRAPPLE / THREE POINT
HITCH
Follow this procedure for grapple / L400, 3-point
hitch combination before storing:
1. Thoroughly wash the machine with a pressure
washer or water hose to remove all dirt, mud or
debris.
2. Lubricate all grease fittings. Make sure all
grease cavities have been filled with grease to
remove any water residue from washing.
3. Touch up all paint nicks and scratches to prevent
rusting.
4. Swing the boom straight out behind and install
the boom lock pin.
5. Move to storage area.
6. Place blocks or planks under the stabilizers and
grapple, lower the 3PH.
7. Lower the grapple boom and stabilizers
8. Stow hydraulic hoses in storage brackets to
keep them off the ground.
9. Unhook from tractor.
10. If the machine cannot be placed inside, cover
with a waterproof tarpaulin and tie securely in
place.
11. Store the machine in an area away from human
activity.
12. Do not allow children to play on or around the
machine.
8�1�3 POWER PACK
Follow this procedure for LX Power Pack before
storing:
1. Review the engine owners manual concerning
storage and prepare the engine for storage.

REMOVING FROM STORAGE

When removing this machine from storage, follow
this procedure:
1. Review and follow the pre-operation checklist.
2. Review safety and operation procedures.
3. Remove the tarpaulin if covered.
4. Power Packs: review engine startup procedure
in the engine owners manual.
IMPORTANT
If the machine has been stored for more than 6
months, warm the engine by running it for 2-3
minutes and drain the oil. Change the oil while the
oil is warm to remove any condensation. Refer to
engine owners manual, maintenance section.
