MACHINE BREAK-IN

4�3�1 LT30 / LT60 LOG GRAPPLE
TRAILER
Although there are no operational restrictions on the
Log Grapple Trailer when used for the first time, it is
recommended that the following mechanical items
be checked:
A. After operating for 1 hour:
1. Enure the machine is in safe condition before
checking any components (see 4.1.1)
2. Check that all bunk arms pivot and move freely.
3. Check that all nuts, bolts and other fasteners are
tight. Retighten to their specified torque.
4. Check wheel hubs for tightness.
5. Check torque on wheel nuts.
6. Check tire pressure. Inflate as required.
7. Check that tandem slide moves freely (LT30
only) Grease if required.
8. Check that tandem axle pivots move freely.
B. After operating for 10 hours:
1. Repeat steps 1 through 8 listed above.
(Section A)
2. Go to the normal servicing and maintenance
schedule as defined in the Maintenance Section.
4�3�2 LX95 / LX115 LOG GRAPPLE
Although there are no operational restrictions on
the Log Grapple when used for the first time, it is
recommended that the following mechanical items
be checked:
A. After operating for 1 hour:
1. Enure the machine is in safe condition before
checking any components (see 4.1.1)
2. Check that all boom and grapple pivot pins are
secure and in place.
3. Check that all boom and grapple pivot points
move freely, grease if required.
4. Check for leaks in the hydraulic system.
Inspect connectors and fittings for leaks.
Inspect hoses for damage. Reroute hoses
if rubbing.
5. Check all hydraulic cylinders and motors for
smooth operation.
6. Check that stabilizers function properly.
7. Check that control panel pivots with out binding,
adjust if required.
8. Check that all nuts, bolts and other fasteners are
tight. Retighten to their specified torque.
B. After operating for 10 hours:
1. Repeat steps 1 through 8 listed above.(Section
A)
2. Go to the normal servicing and maintenance
schedule as defined in the Maintenance Section.
4�3�3 L O G G R A P P L E T R A I L E R
POWER PACKS
Although there are no operational restrictions on
the Log Grapple Power Packs when used for the
first time, it is recommended that the following
mechanical items be checked:
A. After operating for 1 hour:
1. Enure the machine is in safe condition before
checking any components (see 4.1.1)
2. Check for leaks in the hydraulic system.
Inspect connectors and fittings for leaks.
Inspect hoses for damage. Reroute hoses
if rubbing.
3. Check hydraulic pump smooth operation.
4. Check hydraulic fluid level, add if required.
5. Check engine, review the engine operators
manual for break-in information
6. Check that all nuts, bolts and other fasteners are
tight. Retighten to their specified torque.
B. After operating for 10 hours:
1. Repeat steps 1 through 6 listed above.(Section
A)
2. Go to the normal servicing and maintenance
schedule as defined in the Maintenance Section.
