UNLOADING AND STACKING:

When preparing to unload follow the procedures under section 5�1� Ensure stabilizers are down
and trailer is attached to the tow vehcle�
5�4�1 STACKING
Determine a safe log stack location:
• Log stack should be on level ground.
• Ensure stack location does not
interfere with safe loading /
unloading of material.
• Tall log stacks should be braced to
prevent collapse.
Caution: Overhead Loads!
Contact with heavy logs swing-
ing or falling and swinging
booms can cause severe injury
or death.
Never operate the boom or load
over or near personnel
Do not operate loader within
50 feet of all electrical power
transmission lines.
5�4�2 UNLOADING
1. When preparing to unload ensure the
stabilizers are lowered and firmly placed.
2. Release the boom from safe position, open
the grapple and raise the boom.
3. Raise the boom over the log to be picked, so
that the grapple is positioned at the center
of the log.
IMPORTANT
For safe and efficient operation
estimate the position of the
log center of gravity to keep it
balanced when rotating, lifting
and swinging.
4. If required rotate the grapple until it is at
right angles to the length of the log.
5. Open the grapple and lower it over log.
6. Close grapple, and pick the log. If the is
not reasonably balanced, then lower the
log and reposition the grapple for a more
balanced hold.
