2.4.1 Port Specifications
This section describes functional specifications for the TRBMIM-T
front-panel ports.
Station Port
The Station port serves as the external bridge port on the TRBMIM-T.
You can install any of the Token Ring Port Interface Modules (TPIMs)
listed in Table 2-1 in the Station-port receptacle, enabling you set up the
port for connection to MIMs equipped with either twisted-pair or
fiber-optic lobe ports. See Section 4.1 for complete information on setting
up the Station port. You can specify the ring operating speed for the
Station port with a dip switch located on the component board as
described in Section 2.5.1.
