5.1.3 Describing STN LEDs

STN LEDs convey information about the status of the bridge Station port.
16 Mb (Ring Speed)
The 16 Mb LED indicates the ring speed for the bridge Station port:
Solid Yellow
Off
For information about specifying the bridge Station-port ring speed, see
Section 2.5.1.
WFLT (Wire Fault)
The WFLT LED indicates the condition of the connection to the bridge
Station port:
Solid Red
Off
Replace the damaged cable to restore normal operation.
WRP (Wrapped)
The WRP LED indicates the status of the bridge Station port's insertion
into the ring:
Solid Yellow
Off
MONITORING AND TROUBLESHOOTING
The bridge Station-port ring speed is set to 16
Mbps, the default ring speed.
The bridge Station-port ring speed is set to 4
Mbps.
A damaged cable is connected to the Station
port.
A functional cable is connected to the Station
port, the normal condition.
The bridge Station port is not inserted in the
ring.
The bridge Station port is inserted in the ring,
the normal condition.
