4.1.2 Installing A TPIM

All Cabletron TPIMs are "hot swappable." You do not have to

power down or remove the TRBMIM-T to install a TPIM.
To install a TPIM:
1. Remove the self-fastening faceplate covering the TPIM/Station
receptacle.
2. Slide the TPIM all the way into the TPIM slot, as shown in Figure 4-3,
until you feel the TPIM-slot connection pins insert securely into the
TPIM connection sockets.
3. Fasten the TPIM mounting screw to secure the TPIM to the
TRBMIM-T.
