5.2.2 Monitoring With LEDs

LEDs provide information about the working order of the TRBMIM-T
during all phases of its operation, including the power up process. See
Section 5.1 for a complete description of LED functions and color codes
As the self-tests execute, LEDs exhibit various lighting sequences during
each phase of the power-up cycle. If a failure is detected within a subtest,
the BOK LED goes off, or the ERR LED lights red, or both conditions
occur as the power-up process stops.
Upon successful completion of the power-up process, the ERR LED goes
off, and the BOK LED blinks Green. The remaining LEDs reflect current
network-configuration settings. If these conditions do not exist at the end
of the power-up process, note which LEDs are lit and contact Cabletron
Systems Technical Support for assistance.

5.3 TROUBLESHOOTING CHECKLIST

This section provides a checklist of troubleshooting procedures to help
you resolve problems you may encounter with a TRBMIM-T and the
Token Ring network.

5.3.1 Checking The TRBMIM-T

Check to see if the TRBMIM-T is passing traffic (using a Ping utility for
example). If it is not, check the following:
Verify that the BOK LED is blinking green. If it is not, try resetting the
module.
