Configuring Site-to-Site Parameters

Both Local and Remote Aurorean Network Gateways can be configured as
site-to-site ANGs but if the initiating ANG is a Local ANG, you must use
RiverMaster to configure and enable the site-to-site tunnel.
To set Site-to-Site parameters for an initiating ANG, perform the following
steps:
82
4
Choose to Enable or Disable 40-bit Encryption.
This option can enable 40-bit key MPPE which generates a key based
on a hash of the tunnel's password and invokes RC4 encryption. This
type of encryption is supported by Windows 95/98/NT/2000
computers without any additional software.
5
Choose to Enable or Disable Compression.
The ANG employs Microsoft Point-to-Point Compression (MPPC).
6
Click Apply Changes.
NOTE
When you are ready to configure the system at the other end of this
connection - the terminating Network Gateway - remember to configure
General, Authentication, and Subnet parameters only.
1
Click on the Site-to-Site option.
The Site-to-Site Configuration window appears as shown in
Figure 59.
