Transfer the New ANG Installation File to the ANG

Aurorean Installation & Service Guide

Be sure the Aurorean System Software CD ROM is inserted in your
remote control computer's CD ROM drive.

On your remote control computer, temporarily change the computer's
IP address to an address in the 192.168.1.x range with a subnet
mask of 255.255.255.0. Do not use 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2, or
192.168.1.3 IP addresses.
To change the computer's IP address, use the Network Control Panel
and follow Microsoft's on-line Help instructions. To communicate
with the ANG, this computer must have an address on the same
subnet as the ANG.

Open a DOS command window.

Change directory to: Aurorean_3.x.xx-xx\NetworkGateway
on the CD ROM and press

Open an FTP session to the ANG by typing FTP 192.168.1.2 and
press

Login as anonymous using your email address as the password or
just press
ENTER

Change to binary mode by typing bin and press

Transfer the rpm file by typing put rts-xxx.i386rpm where xxx is the
correct release, build and patch number and press
For example, the file may read: rts-3.0.00-95.i386.rpm

After the transfer is complete, type bye and press
10 Telnet to the ANG by typing: telnet 192.168.1.2 and press
11 Login by typing netadmin with the password netadmin.
12 At the prompt, type su - for user name, and welcome for the
password to log in with root privileges.
13 Change directory by typing: /home/ftp/pub
14 Issue a list command to verify that the file was transferred to the ANG
by typing ls -ltr and pressing
