7.4. Connecting wire setting (02. menu item)

The Pt1xx / resistance / potentiometer can be connected to
the input either with 4 / 3 / 2 wire.
The 4 wire connection gives the best result: the instrument
is able to compensate the connecting cable and contact
resistances. The 3 wire mode is a compromise it may give a
good result when all the 3 wire have the same resistance.
The two wire mode is the cheapest mode, use only when
there is no other possibility.
[Factory default: 4 wire.]
The way the code should be type in can be found in
Chapter 7.1. Typing the code in.
You see on the display:
2. Keep stepping by pressing the ▲ button as long as you
see this menu item:
3. Enter the menu item by pressing the ENTER button.
4. You see the mnemonic:
The left digit is blinking indicating that it can be modify.
4. Pressing the ▲ button you can select the required wire
mode:

= 4 wire [Factory default]

= 3 wire

= 2 wire
Note: The selected mode have to be in compliance with the
sensor connection.

now, or if you just want to check what you have typed in, go
on with the operation from point 3. of the Sequence of
operations.)

settings), then you may select the desired menu items by
