6.10.2 LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT
Lift the fuel tank, see 2.8 (LIFTING THE FUEL TANK).
Disconnect the three-way electric connector (1) (col-
oured white) of the fuel pump unit.

CAUTION
When reassembling, make sure the electric connec-
tor (1) is plugged in properly.
Connect together the orange black (Ar/N) and blue (B)
cables from the system side.
With the ignition switch (2) set to "
warning light should come on after a second.

If the"
" light does not come on as expected, make
sure the sensor (3) is working properly:
Fill the tank with petrol.
– With the sensor (3) fully submersed by petrol: the
g
"
" light remains unlit.
Drain the fuel tank completely, see 4.2 (DRAINING
THE FUEL TANK).
– With the sensor (3) fully submersed by petrol: the"
light comes on after 30 to 60 seconds.
If these conditions are not achieved, replace the sen-
sor, see 4.4 (REMOVING THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR).
