In this procedure, you may have hydrogen gas flowing into the oven
from either an inlet or an FID. If confined, an explosive mixture could
be created in the oven.
In this procedure, you may have hydrogen gas
To avoid this, keep the oven door open. The hydrogen will dissipate
rapidly.
1 Turn the gases on at the sources.
2 Open the oven door and keep it open throughout this
procedure.
3 Turn the on/off valves on the detector flow modules on.
4 Turn the controls on the inlet modules to create a carrier gas
flow.
5 Let the gases purge the tubing, traps, regulators, flow
modules, inlets, and detectors for 5 minutes.
6 Turn the gases off at the flow modules.
7 Turn the gases off at the sources.
8 Close the oven door.
