Mounting the Stators with Housing

jamming or clamping of the housing when mounting on the
machine.
●
damage of the centering on the housing and machine.

Check the correct position of the stator and tighten all fastening screws
with the necessary tightening torque by using the crossover pattern.
See
fig. 5-84 "Dimension sheet mounted stator - MST530G, 530L" on page
151.
Stators which were ordered with the option housing, can be fastened via the
fastening holes within the flange on the machine.
When mounting, heed the dimension of the screw connections on the dimen‐
sion sheets regarding
●
Quantity and size of the flange fastening holes
●
In general, the stator must be connected with the machine on
all fastening holes.
●
The necessary screw length for fastening the stator depends
on the machine construction.
●
The screwed connections must be able to take up both the
force due to the weight of the motor and the forces acting dur‐
ing operation.

Lift and position the stator via suitable lifting tools and the ring screw on
the stator housing on the machine.
Avoid ...

jamming or clamping of the housing when mounting on the
machine.
●
damage of the centering on the housing and machine.

Center the stator housing on the machine and the intended centering on
the housing. Because of the enormous torque development of the motors
in size 530G and 530L, all fastening holes on the motor flange must be
used to fasten the motor. For the sizes 530B, 530C and 530E, both outer
fastening holes per fourth-bolt circles on the motor flange must be used
at least.
For fastening the stator housing use the following screws:

hexagonal screws DIN EN ISO 4014 - M20 x ... - 8.8
or
●
pan-head machine screw DIN EN ISO 4762 - M20 x ... - 8.8
and
●
washer DIN EN ISO 7090 - ... - 200 HV
