Operating Behavior

J
= The moment of inertia of the rotor without brake, bearing and encoder.
rot
Unit = kgm².
m= The mass of stator and rotor, without bearing and encoder, stated in kilo‐
gram (kg).
The following sample characteristic curves explain the operating behavior of
IndraDyn T motors, as does information found in the motor data sheet.

The achievable torque depends on the drive controller used. The
reference value for the motor characteristic curves is an unregula‐
ted DC bus voltage of 540V

rises, the available DC bus voltage is reduced by the velocity-dependent back
electromotive force of the motor. This leads to a reduction of the maximum
torque at rising velocity.
The specified characteristic curves can linearly be converted according to the
existing voltages if the connection voltages or DC bus voltages are different.
