The heat of the transformed motor power loss P
system. It is allowed to operate IndraDyn T-motors only if the cooling is made
sure. The cooling system must be rated by the machine manufacturer in such
a way that all requirements regarding flow, pressure, cleanliness, temperature
gradient etc. are maintained in every operating state.
Impairment or failure of motor, machine or cooling system!
⇒ It is essential that you consider the motor data and the explanations and
conceptions of the cooling systems in the documentation "Liquid Cooling, Di‐
mensioning, Selection", MNR R911265836.
⇒  Heed the manufacturer's instructions when constructing and operating
cooling systems.
⇒  Do not use any lubricants or cutting materials from operating processes.
⇒ Avoid pollution of the cooling medium as well as modifications of the chem‐
ical consistance and of the pH-value.
All information and technical data are based on water as the coolant. If other
coolants are used, these data no longer apply and must be recalculated.
A cooling with floating tap water is not recommended. Calcarous tap water can
occure deposit and damage the motor and the cooling system.
For corrosion protection and for chemical stabilization, the cooling water must
have an additional additive which is suitable for mixed-installations with the
materials AlSi5Mg (
By use of agressive coolants, additives and lubricants, the IndraDyn T-motors
an be damaged irreparably.
Use systems with a closed circulation and a fine filter ≤ 100 µm.
Avoid pollution of the cooling medium as well as modifications of the
chemical consistance and of the pH-value.
Observe the environmental protection and waste disposal instructions at
the place of installation when selecting the coolant.
Rexroth can give no general statements or investigations regarding applicability
of process-related coolants or operating conditions.
The performance test for the used coolants and the design of the
liquid coolant system are generally the responsibility of the machine
manufacturer.
Aqueous solutions ensure reliable corrosion protection without significant
changes to the physical properties of the water. The recommended additives
contain no materials hazardous to water.
Corrosion protection oils for coolant systems contain emulsifiers which ensure
a fine distribution of the oil in the water. The oily components of the emulsion
protect the metal surfaces of the coolant duct against corrosion and cavitation.
Herewith, an oil content of 0,5 – 2 volume percent has proved itself.
Does the corrosion protection oil compared with the corrosion protection has
also the coolant pumping lubricant, then the oil content of 5 volume percent is
necessary.
