Calculating the Amount of Refrigerant to Be Charged
Equivalent Length of Pipe Components

5/8 inch (gas pipe)
3/8 inch (liquid pipe)
7/8 inch (gas pipe)
1/2 inch (liquid pipe)
1. Convert the length of components that cause partial resistance loss such as elbows into the
length equivalent to that of straight pipes, and add the equivalent length to the length of the
straight pipe between the indoor and outdoor units to obtain the total one-way pipe length
(L). L should be less than or equal to 80 meters. If L exceeds 80 meters, contact Huawei
technical support.
2. Charge extra refrigerant before power-on commissioning.
