5 - TIG & MMA WELDING
DIGIWAVE II is a multi-process welding post and as such, it allows welding in TIG and MMA.
TIG LIFT
In this mode, the user must use the TIG adaptor ref. W000379466 supplied for this use.
You must use the 'SCRATCH START' operation.
The cycle allows a 'down slope' at the end of the welding pass.
The functioning of the page TIG is similar to the MIG page.
The working program is the TIG program. The user has to create a numbered program to save program's data.
The tuning parameters are as follows described:
Name of the parameter
Arc intensity(A):
Pregas Time(s)
Postgas Time(s)
Arc current of downslope end (A)
Downslope Time(s)
MMA
In this mode, the user can connect the torch to the wire feeder (positive polarity) or on the power source (positive and negative polarity).
The functioning of the page MMA is similar with the MIG page.
The working program is the MMA program. The user has to create a numbered program to save program's data.
When the user selects a MMA program, the power is activated only after a time of 10 seconds (to avoid the inconvenient starts during the passage on a
MMA program).
Besides, the power source is embedding a function allowing the detecting of the striking of an electrode, and in that case to stop automatically the power at
the end of the electrode until the burn back is done.
The tuning parameters are as follows described:
Name of the parameter
Arc intensity(A):
Dynamism:
Striking Dyn:
When the power source is in MMA mode, the welding current will also be present on the MIG connector and at the end of the
MIG torch if connected.
