4.6. PROGRAM LIMITATIONS

The Limitations page is accessible from the SETUP of the MIG welding tuning page.

ST
USE: Program tuning gap limitation.
Tuning limitation concerns the main parameters of the welding step of the current program:
-
Wire speed
-
Arc length
-
Fine tuning
To activate the limitation, turn the encoder
The selected value gives a 'window' the welder can work with on this parameter. This limitation applies only on the program on which it was activated.
Example: No 'Window' then doesn't allow any tuning liberty for the parameter around the preset program value.
A 'Window' of 3 allows a liberty of ±3 on the parameter tuning around the the preset program value.
If the user management is implemented on the power source, the access to the limitation page can be denied to certain user profile.
Example: A Technician user creates a program and sets a limitation on the tuning gap of the main welding parameters. A Welder user doesn't have
access to the limitation page and is limited on this program to the tuning gap that the Technician has allowed. On every other program without limitation, all
the users have the same liberty on the parameters tuning.

USE: Current program limitation
Once you've activated this function, you can only access to the pages:
-
Welding tuning
-
Cycle tuning
-
Display of the former welding parameters
-
Homepage
-
User identification
The user can save the modifications, rename the current program, but he cannot create nor load a program.
To remove or modify the limitation go back to the Limitations page.
If the user management is implemented on the power source, the access to the Limitations page can be denied to certain user profile.
Example: A Technician user creates a program and sets a current program limitation. A Welder user doesn't have the access to the limitation page and is
not allowed to use another program that the one created by the Technician.
3th USE: Current program list limitation
This limitation is an extension of the current program limitation applied to the program lists.
4th USE: Interface locking
This function enables to limit the interface use to the consultation of parameters values, you cannot modify any parameters.
In this mode, it is only possible to access to:
-
the welding tuning page
-
the welding cycle tuning page
-
display of welding parameters
-
Homepage
-
User identification
To remove the interface locking, go back to the Limitations page.
The user can choose to lock the interface of the power source only, or all the interfaces (power source, wire feeder and RC job Command)
5th USE: Program locking
Accessible from the Program Management , it locks the synergy parameters of a program: in the welding tuning page you can tune only the main welding
parameters.
