5 Installation
Notice!
Possible damage to device!
• Commissioning and maintenance work is only permitted to be performed when the power is
switched off. The power cable must also be disconnected from the power supply and device.
• Do not use force! Handle all the modules and components carefully.
• All covers and components, accessories, hardware and cables must be installed or secured
before the device is connected to the power supply and switched on.
• Observe the ESD information (see

• Ambient conditions must be taken into account.
• When installed in a closed housing, there must be sufficient volume for air circulation.
• The device must be installed on a flat, clean and burr-free surface.
• When connecting cables, the bend radius must be taken into account.
• The device must be installed such that viewing is optimized for the user (see the technical data for infor-
mation regarding the viewing angle).

5.1 General information

5.1.1 General conditions

Caution!
In order to ensure IP67 or type 1, 12 or 4X protection, the installation instructions must be strictly
followed. For addition information about the degree of protection, see the installation instructions for
the individual components on the following pages.
The tolerance for the torque values specified in this manual is ±4%!
Notice!
The sealing rings of pipe feed-throughs and brackets must be greased with a lubricant before instal-
lation. This extends the reliability and service life of the sealing rings.

To avoid overheating, the device is not permitted to be exposed to direct sunlight. In addition, contact with corrosive
chemical compounds must be avoided (see

Do not use tools of any kind (screwdrivers, etc.) to operate the touch screen of the panel.
The following tightening torques must be observed:
• The M22 nut must be secured with a hex key (28 mm) with a maximum tightening torque of 10 Nm.
• The screws for securing brackets and the like to the panel must be secured with a PH2 screwdriver and
maximum tightening torque of 1.3 Nm.
• The hex socket screws for securing pipes in the pipe feed-through must be secured with a 2.5 hex key and
maximum tightening torque of 1.3 Nm.
