Windows 2000 on a New System
NOTE
You only have a brief opportunity (five seconds) to press F6
during the install startup. A prompt will appear at the bottom
of the screen when the F6 key is active. If you do not press F6 at
this time, you must restart the Windows 2000 install process to
complete this procedure correctly.
1.
When the Windows 2000 installation starts, a blue screen will
appear after the hardware detection message. Press F6 to Install a
3rd party driver... when prompted.

When prompted, insert the I
select DPT (SCSI) I2O Adapters for Windows 2000 and greater x86.
Press Enter and follow the instructions.

When Windows 2000 starts for the first time it will start a New
Hardware Wizard. Click Next, then select Search for suitable driver
for my device and click Next again.

Insert the I
floppy disk and click Next. The wizard should find DPT SCSI/RAID
Adapter.

Click Next and follow the instructions to complete this part of the
installation.
Completing the installation requires that the system shutdown and
restart. When the restart is complete, continue with the following steps
to complete the installation.
NOTE
The following steps apply to all DPT Millennium controllers or
to DPT Decade and Century controllers with an RA4050
module.

When Windows 2000 is loaded double click My Computer then
double click Control Panel. Double click System and go to the
Hardware tab page. Click on Device Manager. Select PCI Memory
Controller from the Other Devices section.

Select Action and then Reinstall driver, which starts an Upgrade
Wizard. Select Next then select Search for suitable driver for my
device then Next again.
8.
Insert the I
floppy disk and click Next. The wizard should find DPT I2O
Memory Controller. Click Next and follow the instructions to
complete the installation.
