where cost is a factor.

Decade controller features include:
• Two SCSI-3 channels with internal and external connectors
• Onboard i960RP processor (31 MIPs)
1MB Flash ROM
4MB processor memory
4MB onboard cache
• Hardware RAID 0, 1, 5 and support for striping multiple arrays as a
single logical drive (RAID 0+1 and 0+5)
• Hardware XOR for RAID 5 and 0+5 when using an RA4060 RAID
Accelerator
• Up to 128MB of EDO cache when using an RA4060 RAID
Accelerator
• Intelligent Hot Spare capability
• Support for DEC Fault Bus, SAF-TE and SES
• Complies with PCI Local Bus Specification, revision 2.2. PCI clock
speeds up to 33 MHz are supported.
The Decade controller provides two Ultra160 SCSI channels and
supports up to two additional channels with an SX4065U3 Bus
Expansion Module. The SX4065U3 is available in two versions that
providing either one or two additional SCSI channels. The SX4065F lets
you add a Fibre Channel bus to a single channel SCSI controller.
Both the RA4060 RAID Accelerator and the SX4065 Bus Expansion
Module are daughter cards that attach to the controller and do not
require an additional card slot in the host system.
