Introduction

DPT SmartRAID VI products incorporate the latest intelligent
controller technology to deliver optimum performance for desktop
systems, file servers or multi-user host systems.
NOTE ECC-protected cache is available when you use DPT DM4060
or DM4070 memory modules.
• Century controllers support RAID 0, 1, 5 and multilevel RAID
(0+1 and 0+5). Century controllers support a maximum of 128MB
of onboard cache. ECC protection for cache memory is available
when DPT memory is installed.
• Decade controllers support RAID 0, 1, 5 and multilevel RAID
(0+1 and 0+5) with 4MB of onboard cache. You can upgrade to
hardware XOR support and up to 128MB of cache by adding an
RA4060 RAID Accelerator module. ECC protection for cache
memory is available when DPT memory is installed.
• SX4065U3 Bus Expansion Modules add one or two extra SCSI
channels to SmartRAID VI controllers.
• SX4065F Bus Expansion Modules add a single Fibre Channel
Arbitrated Loop (FC-AL) connection to SmartRAID VI controllers.
• The RA4060 RAID Accelerator provides up to 128MB of cache
and adds hardware XOR capability to a Decade controller.
• DM4060 Cache Modules provide 16MB (DM4060-16) or 64MB
(DM4060-64) of disk cache for Decade controllers.
• DM4070 Cache Modules provide 32MB (DM4070-32) or 64MB
(DM4070-64) of high-speed SDRAM disk cache for Century
controllers.
