5.3.2.1 IDE Master, IDE Slave

Use the IDE Master and IDE Slave configuration menu to view both primary and
secondary IDE device details and configure the IDE devices connected to the system.

Auto-Detected Drive Parameters
The "grayed-out" items in the left frame are IDE disk drive parameters automatically
detected from the firmware of the selected IDE disk drive. The drive parameters are listed
as follows:
175 Device: Lists the device type (e.g. hard disk, CD-ROM etc.)
176 Type: Indicates the type of devices a user can manually select
177 LBA/Large Mode: Indicates whether the LBA (Logical Block Addressing) is a
method of addressing data on a disk drive is supported or not.
178 Block (Multi-Sector Transfer): Block mode boosts IDE drive performance by
increasing the amount of data transferred. Only 512 bytes of data can be
transferred per interrupt if block mode is not used. Block mode allows
