4.3.2 Detaching the Elevated Platform

Please read the warnings at the beginning of Section 4.3 before attempting to access any
PC 5170 internal components.
The elevated platform supports the FDD, CD drive and HDD. Back cover removal is
discussed in Section 4.3.1. To detach the elevated platform, please follow the steps
below.
Disconnect all FDD, CD drive and HDD cabling.
Step 1:
Remove the CD drive retention screws from the bottom panel (Figure 4-2).
