6 - Conrod bearing cap
❑ Mark allocation to cylinder
❑ Mark conrod number
1
7 - 40 Nm +
/ 4 turn (90°) further
❑ Renew
❑ Oil threads and contact surface
❑ To measure radial clearance, tighten to 40 Nm but not further.
8 - Piston pin
❑ If difficult to remove, heat piston to 60°C.
❑ Remove and install using drift - VW 222 A- .

♦ Spring-type clip pliers - VAS 6499-
♦ Torque wrench - V.A.G 1331-
♦ Pin - VW 222 A-
