Assembly overview - emission control

Note
After working on the exhaust system, ensure that the system
has sufficient clearance to the bodywork. If necessary, loosen
double clamp on front exhaust pipe and realign silencer and
exhaust pipes.
Do not use sealants containing silicone. Silicone particles
drawn into the engine will not be burnt in the engine and will
damage the Lambda probes.
Renew self-locking nuts.
1 - Securing nuts

❑ Coat studs with high
temperature paste - G
052 112 A3- .
❑ M8: 25 Nm
❑ M10: 40 Nm
2 - Front exhaust pipes
3 - Lambda probe 2 - G108- ,
50 Nm
❑ Bank 2, probe 1
❑ Brown connector, 6-pin
❑ Installed in exhaust gas
stream of cylinders 4, 5
and 6
❑ Grease only thread with
-G 052 112 A3- . -G 052
112 A3- must not get in‐
to slots in probe body.
❑ Removing and installing

4 - Lambda probe 2 after cata‐
lytic converter - G131- , 50 Nm
