Backflow valve
The backflow sensor reacts from an accumulation height of 100 mm, measured from the upper edge of the ground pipe. For this
reason, when planning, the installation heights of existing floor drains, from which water may arise in case of backflow, must be
taken into consideration. If a backflow valve is retrospectively installed in a ground pipe, the height offset of 30 mm between the
connecting pipe and sleeve must be taken into consideration.
Assembly steps
– Install Grundfix Plus Control
horizontally into the ground pipe.
Observe the direction of flow!
– Underlay with concrete, maximum
up to the middle of the outlet pipe.

Connection line and pressure hose
Connect the electric cable and the pressure hose to the control unit.
Note
To ensure the anti-flooding function of the backflow valve, the factory-tightened threaded cable and hose screw fittings must not
be loosened.
Assembly steps
 Pressure hose
– Loosen union nut and push onto the
pressure hose.
– Remove black cap.
– Tighten the union nut of the pressure
hose slightly using tools.
Warning:

– Always insert or screw the electric plug

connection and union nut straight in. The
union nut must not be tightened using
pliers.

Control unit connection
Note
The control unit must be positioned in such a way that the users of the system can notice all acoustical and optical
signals.
Assembly steps
 Attach the control unit
with 4 screws to the wall.
 Insert motor and rechargeable battery fuses (scope of delivery).
The fuses can be used alternatively (the rechargeable battery
fuse is secured in the casing of the control in the factory).
 To prevent damage, keep the emer-
gency closing device closed (»ZU«) until
commissioning.
 Plug
– Remove cap.
 Control unit
– Lead connection line and pressure
pipe through the empty pipe to the
control (use cable pulling device, if
required).
When using the 20 m cable set
Art.-No. 483500, the jumper should
be mounted as described in point
F5 below.
 Connect the pressure hose to
the control unit using the quick
connection.
– Lay the conduit from the Grundfix Plus
Control until the assembly point of the
control unit.
– Close both sides with plugs.
 Plug the electric plug connection in and
tighten the union nut by hand.
Danger! Risk of electric shock if not installed properly
Assembly only by professionals.
Switch off mains power before opening the casing.
– Lead the connection line into the internal part of the
control unit via the PG screw connection and connect to
the terminal strip (see following tables for connections).
 When using cable set Art.-No. 483500, the one-sided
secured jumper must be attached to both contacts! This
mounting step is essential for the flawless
functioning of the Grundfix Plus Control in
connection with the 20 m extension set
