Control unit - initialisation

As soon as the mains voltage is connected, the control unit begins its »Initialisierung« (initialisation), the automated commissioning
process.
Display: »Inbetriebnahme« ("Commissioning")
During initialisation, there is a self-test of the battery, mains connection and motor control components.
The motor-driven flap is opened and closed once.
After a successful self-test, the control unit switches to normal operation - the motor-driven flap is opened.
Display: »Normalbetrieb / RV-geöffnet« (Norm. operation / NRV open)
Any errors registered during the self-test are displayed (see "Toubleshooting" chapter)
Note:
the date and time must be set after the initial commissioning, as a prerequisite that
the maintenance reminder, error logging and daily self-test can function.

Pressure test

After the initialisation, the function of the pressure switch must be checked with help of the pressure test (see G from Fig. 10).
– Set the emergency closing device to
position »ZU« (Closed).
– Close valve with T2, »Test RV -
geschlossen« (Test NRV closed), if
necessary, a forced opening
(press T3 button for 5 seconds) is possible,
motor-driven flap and emergency closing
valve are now closed.
– Fill water to the top marking of the test funnel.
– When the pressure switch is intact, the control unit will report a backflow:
Display: »Test RV geschlossen«, (Test NRV closed), »Rückstau RV
geschlossen«, (NRV closed), if necessary a forced opening
(press T3 button for 5 seconds) is possible. Keep the water level in the test
funnel constant for 10 minutes by replenishing. If the loss is greater than
0.5 litres, the seals of the cover valves must be checked and replaced if necessary.
After a successful procedure, the control unit will automatically switch to normal operation.
Display: »Normalbetrieb / RV-geöffnet« (Normal operation / Backflow valve open)

Inspection and maintenance

For safe operation, DIN 1986-3 requires a monthly "inspection" and "maintenance" of the system to be carried out twice a year.
Inspection (monthly) by a qualified person

Q
Maintenance (twice a year) by specialist
In normal operation, the control shows that maintenance is due every 4320 operating hours (= 180 operating days).
Display: »Wartung durchführen« (Perform maintenance)
The alarm signal can be switched off using T1 »Ton Aus« (Sound Off ) and then T3 - the display is
only removed when the maintenance has been carried out.
