6.3.3 Chemical Filter (optional accessory)

The Chemical Filter assembly (Part no. 67142) is available as an accessory. The filter contents can
be replaced with any of the following:
• Charcoal Granules (part no. 67148)
Charcoal removes higher hydrocarbons from the sample.
• Silica Gel (part no. 67205)
Silica Gel removes moisture from a sample.
The Gel will change colour from gold to green when saturated and replacement is
required.
• NOx absorber (part no. 67270)
The NOx absorber will remove Nitric Oxide (NO) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO
sample.
The absorber will change colour from dark purple to brown when saturated and
replacement is required.
Caution: The contents of this filter must only be replenished with
Teledyne GMI approved chemicals.
Note: When replacing the chemical filter, you must also replace the dust filter.
1. Remove and discard the dust filter, as detailed in
