4.3 Antenna configurations
Antenna configuration 6
Antenna configuration 7
44
Description/ application areas
Preferred for the identification of goods
at loading gates: Similar to configuration
4, but the reliability of transponder identi-
fication is improved as a result of the four
antennas at separate locations, so the
transponder position is not critical.
Transponder
Description/ application areas
This tunnel configuration is suitable for
conveyor belt applications. The goods
with the transponders to be read are
moving forwards on a conveyor belt but
the alignment of the transponders rela-
tive to the antennas is not clearly de-
fined. One of the antenna is located on
the floor and radiates vertically upwards
in the direction of the conveyor belt. A
relatively high reading reliability is
achieved due to the use of four anten-
nas.
