Troubleshooting: Monitor

3.3.1

Touchscreen Display

General Information
There are three main functional monitor parts that affect the display:
• The display itself
• The backlight
• The backlight inverter
Monitor Display
The display is the active part of the monitor.
Occurrence
Some pixels (from which the displayed
images are constructed) may fail over
Backlight
The backlight evenly illuminates the background of the active display so that pixels are visible.
Occurrence
Backlight Inverter
The backlight inverter provides high voltage power supply for the backlight. The 24 volt DC input
is switched up (inverted) to approximately 1200 volts so that the backlights can operate.

The display may need to be replaced.

The backlight may need to be replaced (backlights
typically have a specified lifetime of five years).

is very robust and should not cause any problems.
