Weather Sensors

The ESP-LXIVM can also accept input from a single weather sensor
wired directly to the controller instead of to the 2-Wire path.

Connect Local Weather Sensors

NOTE: All weather sensors can also be bypassed with the sensor
bypass switch on the controller front panel.

Run continuous sensor wires from the weather sensor to the
LX-IVM controller.

Remove the yellow jumper wire (if present). Connect the sensor
wires to the sensor inputs to the right of the 2-Wire path termi-
nals. When fi nished, tug gently on the wires to make sure the con-
nections are tight.

NOTE: If your weather sensor requires 24V power from the con-
troller, the + and - connectors to the left of the sensor and com-
mon connectors can be used.

Turn the controller dial to Weather Sensor
A
At the Weather Sensors screen, press the On key to activate the
local Weather Sensor or else press Off to bypass. Press the Arrow
keys to navigate across the week.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Follow the sensor manufacturer's instructions to correctly
install and make wire connections to the sensor. Ensure the
sensor installation is in compliance with all local codes.
Supported Rain Bird® Weather Sensors:
• RSD rain shut off device
• WR2-RC wireless rain sensor
• WR2-RFC wireless rain/freeze sensor
