Using a thin blade screwdriver, connect the two wire ends to a set of
large 2-Wire path terminals on the ESP IVM 2-Wire Interface Module.
When fi nished, tug gently on the wires to make sure the connec-
tions are tight.

Wiring polarity must be correct in order for 2-Wire device
to function properly. Connect the red wire to the terminal
marked "RED1" and connect the black wire to the terminal
marked "BLK1".

If you have multiple 2-Wire Paths then repeat this process to con-
nect those wire ends to the other IVM 2-Wire Interface Module ter-
minals as desired.

Surge Protection and Grounding

The ESP-LXIVM controller, IVM 2-Wire Interface Module and the 2-Wire
path must be properly surge protected and grounded. Doing so can
help prevent damage to the controller and irrigation system and also
signifi cantly reduce troubleshooting, repair time and expense. Failure to
do so could result in failure of the controller and voiding the warranty.

ESP-LXIVM Controller

The ESP-LXIVM Decoder Controller is protected against electrical surges
through the ground provided by the primary ground of the incoming
power to the controller.

IVM 2-Wire Interface Module

A
Connect #8AWG (10mm) or #10AWG (6MM) bare copper wire to the
IVM Module ground lug.
