2-Wire path Overview

2-Wire path Design

The ESP-LXIVM controller with 2-Wire path has key advantages over
traditional controllers that use separate wires for each valve.
• The 2-Wire path design allows DC Latching Valves to be attached
at any location, allowing greater design fl exibility and greater dis-
tances to be supported.
• The LX-IVM controller has connections for up to four separate
2-Wire Paths.
• DC Latching Valves can be managed using up to 6.61 miles (10.63
Km) of wire path, if looped.

Star Pattern

A Star Pattern allows branching as often as necessary without ever
looping the wire back to the controller.
This generally allows more design fl exibility but at the expense of
some distance. The distance from the controller to the farthest IVM
Device is known as the critical path; the greatest distance supported
with 14 AWG cable in a Star Pattern is 1.65 miles (2.66 Km).
