8.
Check that the fifth wheel landing legs are fully RETRACTED.
9.
Attach the breakaway switch cable to the tow vehicle. Leave enough slack to accom-
modate tight turns.
10.
Connect the 7-way wire harness from the fifth wheel to your tow vehicle and secure
in the travel position.
11.
Walk around the fifth wheel to verify that the exterior lights are working correctly,

Remove the wheel chocks from the trailer wheels.

UNHITcHING

1.
Choose a place to park, and pull the RV into the site.
2.
Block the wheels to keep the RV from rolling.
3.
LOWER the landing legs to stabilize the RV.
For proper operation, it is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions.
4.
Disconnect the wire harness/connector plug.
5.
Disconnect the breakaway switch lanyard.
6.
OPEN the truck tailgate.
Unless your truck is equipped with a tailgate designed to accommodate a Fifth
wheel hitch.
7.
Shift your truck into reverse, but Do NoT press on the accelerator.
This moves the kingpin off the locking bar, so that it can be disengaged.
8.
Apply the brakes, then set your parking brake.
9.
Disengage the locking bar, then Unhitch the RV.
10.
Pull away your tow vehicle.
11.
Level the RV front to back by adjusting the fifth-wheel height.

ToWING THE RV

You will find that your RV will travel safely and comfortably at most posted trailer highway
speed limits. However, it will take longer than a passenger automobile to reach that speed.
Keep this in mind when overtaking and passing another vehicle.
