TV REcEPTIoN BASIcS
TV broadcasting is a point-to-point communication. Any obstructions between the trans-
mitter and the antenna will degrade the signal, affecting picture quality.
•
Television stations transmit their broadcast signal "over the air" to surrounding areas.
•
TV antennas are designed to receive the broadcast signals.
•
Picture quality depends on the antenna type and your distance from the transmitter.
•
The further you are from the transmitter, the weaker the signal becomes, affecting pic-
ture quality.
TV SIGNAL Bo oSTER
•
The TV Signal Booster must be turned oN for improved antenna reception.
•
The TV Signal Booster sends 12VDC power to the TV roof antenna. This voltage energizes
the transistors in the antenna head amplifier.
•
To view cable/satellite, or to use a DVD/Blu-ray player, turn OFF the TV Signal Booster.
