• When a route is being built it is not active and does not affect any current naviga-
tion.
• You can include a waypoint more than once in a route, but the same waypoint can-
not be placed consecutively.
• You can create a new route when the route list is full but on saving this, you will be
prompted to choose an existing route to overwrite.
• You cannot save a new route if any of the waypoints within it are currently active..
• The way in which the OK and CANCEL buttons operate is different when you are
building and editing routes (see below).
Building routes on screen
You can build a route on screen that consists of either new or existing waypoints.

You can build routes using a series of new waypoints.
ROUTES
1. Press ROUTES and BUILD NEW ROUTE.
2. Press PLACE WAYPOINT.
A new waypoint is placed at the cursor's position.
• If you make an error when you are building your route and wish to remove the
last waypoint, press UNDO WAYPOINT. The waypoint and its dotted line are
removed from the screen and the cursor moves back to the previous waypoint.
If you repeatedly press these keys, successive waypoints are removed.
• If you wish to abandon the route that you are building, press CANCEL. You are
asked to confirm your request to delete the route.
3. Move the cursor to the next position.
The cursor is joined to the waypoint with a dashed line. As subsequent waypoints
are added, the dashed line becomes a solid line i.e.
